Diet Extra: Weight Loss For Dummies

Dear eDiets,
I'm going on vacation and will be eating my meals in restaurants. Last time I vacationed, I gained 7 pounds in 10 days. Help!

Restaurants can be very dangerous places. Most of them serve double the amount you want or need. Make a commitment to your health and weight before you go and remember that the secret is in the ordering. If you're traveling with friends or family, the best strategy is to share. Share one entrée but order your own soup or salad. You can even share a special dessert.

Breakfast is an important meal so don't skip it. Instead share an omelet. Try to eat fresh fruit for a snack and walk to where you're going whenever possible.
