Assertiveness and Confidence
Bill Keefe, Founder CampusBlues.com
Do you have trouble speaking up or
saying no? Do you have trouble finding time to do the things
that are important to you?
If this sounds familiar, you may need some
assertiveness training!
Being a "team player", a good friend,
or a cool roommate shouldn't always require you to make sacrifices.
Compromise is a healthy part of human relationships. All relationships
will require some "give and take".
Unfortunately some people find themselves always
on the giving side. Allowing people to take until there is
nothing left. This can become quite unhealthy!
While some of the blame can be placed on "selfish"
or "stubborn" and "needy" friends, you
should take a hard look at yourself!
The following collection of articles are excellent reading for students hoping
to increase personal assertiveness.
